Just kidding. Today wasn't so bad.
So, here's the scoop. Tomorrow I start over with the diet. I may only have 6 weeks left to really do this. Here's why (if you are a man, this may be too much info, and you may not want to read) ;o) .....My hubby and I are planning on adding to our family. Problem is, I have a VERY messed up cycle. Doesn't make it very easy to get pregnant that way. So, I have been seeing an OB, and today was another appointment with him. The plan now is this......If I don't start my next cycle by the 30th of this month, I have to contact him to get the "ball" rolling. Once I have a period, he will then put me on a medication to start ovulation, and at that time we will hopefully get pregnant. I'm hoping we only have to go through this for 1 cycle. I went through this with the last baby, but, didn't end up needing the meds. I ovulated on my own after a few months, and with a predictor kit, we were able to succeed. I didn't feel like messing around this time, and went right for help. I haven't ovulated in about 4 months as it is, and don't know when I will again, so I think it was my only option.
SO - I am really going to be focusing on losing as much as I can during the next 6 weeks. I know I won't have to completely stop right away, but I will have to soon after becoming pregnant. I actually lost 30 pounds DURING my last pregnancy because of Gestational Diabetes. I was on such a strict diet, that I lost the weight during pregnancy. I only gained 5 pounds my entire pregnancy, and delivered a 9lb 7oz baby!! I hope to do the same thing this time!! ;o) I am starting much lower then my starting weight w/ the last baby, so that's good. Odds are, I will have gestational diabetes again, so I will be right back on the strict diet.
SO - once I'm pregnant, this journal will probably switch to a pregnancy journal, but, also still focusing on my health during the pregnancy. And I will continue this weight loss until I become pregnant.
I just wanted to share this with you all. Hope it wasn't too much info.
Tomorrow is the day. Now I have a goal to look towards. A reason to do this. It was really hard for me to stay focused when I didn't have my eye set on something. Now I have it. I am so excited to be getting ready to add to our family. I hope we get a girl this time!!!
Talk to you tomorrow! I'm actually going to do a detox that I have done before with a protein shake. It works great!! It's a great way to start a diet. I'll let you know how it goes.

Oh wow--Jamie! You guys just get right to the point! I don't know how you do it with having more! I hope you have a girl also! I'm so jealous of both and sherise for losing weight while pregnant--UGH--so not the case for me! Good luck with your apt!
