I'm #1!!!

Literally! On Sunday I did a 5k walk race with my friend and I placed 1st in my age group! Crazy! My friend came in 2nd in her age group and 3rd place overall (she came in about 4 seconds ahead of me). We couldn't believe it! I thought I was going to die we were walking so fast, but I made it! I'm glad I pushed myself (or should I say, I'm glad my friend pushed me). The sad part is, she is 12 years OLDER than me! But, we did it and we placed! It was lots of fun and really worth it.

I'm still doing Weight Watchers and loving it. I was down another pound this week. Yeah! Actually right now I'm pretty much on a liquid diet because my teeth are in such bad shape in the back of my mouth that I can't even chew anything. I need to go to the dentist really bad, but I hate it so much. I would rather give birth! ;o) I need about 4 root canals and 3 teeth pulled (wisdom teeth). Lots of fun!!! I'm hoping to make it through the holidays first and then start dealing with it.

Not too much else happening around here. I have just been cleaning and organizing the house. I have a lot more energy since I have been working out all the time. I love it! We have company coming for Thanksgiving, so I'm want the house to look really nice. My Aunt (mom's twin) and her hubby are coming for Thanksgiving day and then my dad is going to come down that night and stay the entire weekend. We are going to go to this huge Christmas store that my mom loved to go to and get my DD a "name" ornament. My mom had ornaments for all of us and my dad wants to make sure that she has one. We may also get one in memory of my mother as well. It should be a great weekend. We are going to watch Christmas movies together that my mom loved to watch too. I can't wait to have him here.

Well - have to run! I have worship practice tonight and need to keep cleaning while DD is napping!

Later!

Wow! You are an inspiration! Now, I just need to get off of the couch, and try to walk some myself... :)

I'm sorry about your teeth. That really stinks. But believe me, you will feel so much better once it is done! I suggest "shopping" around for a good dentist - ask your friends about painless and gentle ones in your area.

I'm glad your holiday plans have come together! That will be so nice to have your dad there, and to remember your mom with a special ornament.

Hey "me" - are you still blogging? I can't get to your site.

Big hugs Jamie!

Nat--I do have a private....which trust me, you don't want to read. I had another blog....the losing weight blog, but I haven't blogged on that in well.....forever. I need to get back on track with that though, so I anticipate blogging on that one again at some point....I'm honored though that you asked. Jamie--sorry to blog jack...
back to the regular scheduled Jamie program.......

Jamie - I hope you are doing well this holiday season. I know it must be a tough one for you and your dad. I have been thinking of you.
